DescriptionDescription: Lagerström and Söderberg prioritized aesthetic experiences in preference to ergonomics and function. The writing desk was awarded at the furniture fair in Copenhagen in 1978. According to the jury, it renewed two genuine traditions: painted folk art furniture and lavish intarsia inlays. Today, we see it as an early example of postmodernist furniture and a forerunner to the Memphis group, formed three years later in 1981.
