DescriptionDescription: Advanced joinery and painstaking detail show that great skill has gone into making this box. James Krenov grew up in Alaska. He trained at Carl Malmsten’s workshop school in 1957–1959 and taught there in 1967–1968. In 1981, he moved back to the US to start a woodworking programme at the College of the Redwoods in California. Krenov’s woodwork and his philosophical books about wood and design have contributed to keeping quality wood craftsmanship alive.
