DescriptionDescription: Georg Haupt travelled as a journeyman to Paris and London. On his return to Sweden, there was much demand for his skills and Queen Lovisa Ulrika commissioned a desk from him. After that, Haupt became the most sought-after cabinetmaker in Stockholm. This commode is an example of his mature style, with Neoclassical bronze mounts and polychrome intarsia.
