DescriptionDescription: Gustaf Tenggren became John Bauer’s most important successor as the illustrator of Tomtar och troll. Initially he remained close to Bauer’s style but quickly developed his own form of expression which was more glamorous and colourful. Tenggren soon left Sweden, first for Denmark and then the USA. In Copenhagen he illustrated Grimms’ Fairy Tales. This was one of the reasons why he was employed by Walt Disney to work on his first feature films Snow White (1937).
