DescriptionDescription: Inscribed in pen and brown ink at lower right: Jules Romain (C.G. Tessin) and "Rafaello d'Urbino" (struck out) The composition is painted in one of the roundels decorating the Sala dei Venti in Palazzo del Te, painted around 1528. The drawing shows a rectangular composition, as do the ten drawings for the other scenes, published by Hartt. They were later adapted to the round format. The sheet is very worn and therefore difficult to judge. In its present state no pentimenti can be detected, of not some sketchy traces of black chalk in the upper part of the drawing. It is most likely a copy after a lost drawing of the set [Bjurström, It. Drawings, cat. no. 476]
