DescriptionDescription: Mathilda d’Orozco led an almost improbably eventful life. Born in Italy to Spanish parents, she married into the circle around Napoleon. When her first husband died, love brought her to Sweden, where she worked as a composer and singer. Fägerplan, much sought after among the beau monde of the day, has portrayed her as an independent individual, rather than a mere appendage to a husband, as was otherwise often the case.
