DescriptionDescription: The National Portrait Gallery has 28 works representing Gustaf Adolf Reuterholm, all of which once belonged to him. This is probably a record for an 18th-century Swede who was neither royal nor an artist. According to his own inscription on the back of this portrait, Reuterholm was “Painted in June 1776 by Ulrica F. Pasch”. He must have been satisfied with the result, as Pasch was later asked to do another five portraits for the Reuterholm family gallery.
