DescriptionDescription: A competition held in 1943 by the furniture maker Svenska Möbelfabrikerna sought modern, light and flexible designs. Elias Svedberg at NK won with his chair Triva. It was developed into a line of furniture, Triva-Bygg, launched in 1944. This was Sweden’s first self-assembly furniture, and it was delivered in flat packs. The Futura line was designed on the same principle, under the slogan ‘luxurious but affordable’. It included mahogany.
