DescriptionExhibition text: The 2022 Honorary Portrait depicts the textile artist Britta Marakatt-Labba dressed in Sámi costume in a winter landscape. In her hand is a swan wing. Since the end of the 1970’s, Marakatt-Labba has conveyed Sámi culture, nature and history in embroidery. In 2025, her 24-meter-long embroidery Historjá was chosen as one of the most important international works of art of the 21st century.
