Description: This sculpture expresses an ambition to depart from the elegance and harmonic idiom of Swedish glassmaking tradition, wrought by technically skilled craftsmen, and instead embrace chance and imagination. The experimental process is more significant than the result. The artist has not tried to tame the viscous molten glass, but rather to follow it. And the object fills no practical function – it is precisely a sculpture.
