DescriptionDescription: Sanna Sjöswärd’s portrait of Emerich Roth forms part of her project Fading Stories – Pass Them On, shown at Fotografiska in Stockholm and as a Church of Sweden touring exhibition. The project combines photography with the stories of Holocaust survivors, who are now very old. Sjöswärd stresses the importance of giving them prominence and passing on an awareness of their experiences to future generations. Her portrait of Roth is a close-up of a furrowed face, full of dignity and calm.
