DescriptionDescription: The retired farmer P. A. Söderström was photographed in his home in Ytterbyn in northern Sweden. He is in his best clothes, either for the photographer or because it is a Sunday. On the wall are a wedding photograph and a Bible verse. Jonsson took the picture for Bilder av Nådens barn (Images of the Children of Grace, 1963), a book about the revival movement led by Carl Olof Rosenius. The individuals portrayed also represent a smallholder culture still alive at that time.
