DescriptionDescription: Graphite, pen and black ink, grey wash, heightened with white, on greyish prepared paper, 216 x 195 mm. Triple framing lines in brown ink, surrounded by brown wash. Watermark: Amsterdam coat of arms. Chain lines: 24 mm. Numbered in the lower right corner, in pen and brown ink, 150 (struck out). Mark of the Royal Collection (Lugt 1638). Numbered on the mount, in pen and brown ink, 1692 (Sparre). The style is characteristic of De Wit. Van Tatenhove considers this an early drawing. [Magnusson, Dutch Drawings no. 521]
