DescriptionDescription: Black chalk, point of brush in grey, grey wash, 404 x 532 mm. Dark brown framing lines, in ink that is eroding the paper. Vertical folds in the centre, repaired tears in the bottom margin. No watermark. Chain lines: 25 mm. Inscribed on the verso at the upper left, in pencil, Aent …. ater. This is a copy of a Dutch inscription in pen and brown ink, written on a small glued-on strip of paper, of which a small fragment remains attached to the verso. Further down, in pencil, inscribed Waterloo, and below that, Suther. [Magnusson, Dutch Drawings no. 477]
