DescriptionDescription: Helena Roed in her role as Leonora in Ludvig Holberg’s comedy The Happy Capsize has the character of a sketch. The subject, who was the daughter of the artist Jørgen Roed, has described how Marstrand devoted a great deal of work to her hairstyle. This was to be his own highly individual and personal interpretation of the 18th century. Later, Helena Roed married Professor Carl Rupert Nyblom in Sweden, became an important writer and a close friend of Prince Eugene.
