DescriptionDescription: The lack of clean water is a global problem, causing many deaths every year. Solvatten produces clean, potable water using solar energy. This is an example of design for sustainable development, where design and innovation meet. The cleaning process uses the sun’s UV rays.The water temperature then kills bacteria. A filter reduces the occurrence of microorganisms. After five to ten hours, ten litres of contaminated water have become ten litres of clean drinking water.
