DescriptionDescription: Black chalk, grey wash, 140 x 193 mm. Some traces of framing lines in black preserved on three sides. No watermark. Chain lines: 25 mm. Signed and dated in the upper right corner, in black chalk, Berghem f 1653. Mark of the Royal Museum (Lugt 1638). Belongs, together with the following drawing, to a series depicting the months. Both drawings are the same size, and the manner is identical. At the top is the zodiacal sign Pisces, and people are engaged in a Carnival game. [Magnusson, Dutch Drawings no. 21]
