DescriptionDescription: When the Höganäs company changed owners in 1988, the new management wanted to raise the design level of its products. Marie-Louise Hellgren was commissioned to design a mug that was contemporary, felt luxurious and could sell for SEK 99 – to be compared with a standard mug that cost around SEK 20 at the time. The softly rounded mug has a tactile quality, and the wooden saucer gave it a modern contrast with traditional coffee and tea cups with china saucers. About 13 million Collection mugs have been sold.
