DescriptionExhibition text: The scene is set in the middle of the street. One of the horses has left droppings behind, and along the sidewalks, women and men hurry to their jobs. Nils Kreuger often painted such scenes from everyday life, which one hardly notices because they are such an integral part of the city’s routine. He was particularly interested in horses in various working environments. Here, it is the worn-out horses, which once pulled Paris omnibuses, that take center stage.
