DescriptionDescription: The backrest of the chair has a geometric openwork Chinoiserie-style decoration. The red colour and bronzed knobs are also references to China. The Austrian architect Josef Frank designed the chair in 1923, and the model was displayed in Austria’s exhibition at the 1925 World’s Fair in Paris. Today, Josef Frank is best known for his furniture and textile patterns for the Swedish company Svenskt Tenn, founded in 1924.
