DescriptionDescription: A streamlined shape symbolised efficiency and modernity. Developed by the US aviation industry, whose goal was to minimise air resistance, it had a part in reviving the economy after the 1929 stock market crash. Walter Dorwin Teague, Raymond Loewy and Henry Dreyfuss were leaders within the new profession of industrial designer in the late 1920s, with their own design offices. Dreyfuss began working with ergonomics and human-factor analysis.
