DescriptionDescription: This painting depicts the artist’s sister, Anna Flensburg, who was also an artist herself. Mina Carlson-Bredberg’s artistic career gained momentum after she divorced her first husband and began to study for Carolus-Duran, one of the greatest portraitists in France at the time. This portrait of her sister can be viewed as a demonstration of all of Carlson-Bredberg’s skills – from the rendering of the different fabrics to the psychological portrayal of the subject.
