DescriptionDescription: Aron Gerle and och Björn Ahlgrensson became friends while they were studying at the Artist Association’s school in Stockholm. They both frequently painted twilight motifs of different kinds. Gerle’s portrait of Ahlgrensson depicts a thoughtful young man with an expression verging on the melancholic. This was probably how Gerle intended to portray him to allow his image to reflect the atmosphere in his art.
