DescriptionDescription: This is a study for one of the three paintings commissioned by Pontus Fürstenberg from Carl Larsson and which were to represent three periods of art history – the Renaissance, Rococo and contemporary art. With its pastel shades and decorative elegant shapes, the painting recalls elegant Rococo scenes with festive figures on excursions into the countryside. The finished painting was exhibited at the World Exhibition in Paris in 1889, where it attracted great attention.
