DescriptionDescription: Gottfrid Kallstenius never jointed the oppositional artists but abided by the teachings of the Academy. In the 1890s, however, he began to paint landscapes in the same national romantic spirit as Richard Bergh and Karl Nordström. This is one of his most interesting paintings in which he gets close to a cliff to capture the light of the sunset. The motif is as simple as it is mystical.
