DescriptionDescription: No watermark. Inscribed at lower right in pen and grey ink: "G.B. Tiepolo" (on an added piece of paper). Provenance: Found pasted into the reverse of an engraving This drawing is probably from the end of the 1720s, when Pellegrini became increasingly impressionistic and subordinated outlines to the representation of light. In sheets such as this he is very difficult to distinguish from Giovanni Antonio Guard, who was his only follower. [Bjurström, It. Drawings, cat. no. 201]
