DescriptionDescription: Laid down. Provenance: N. Nyblom Acquired in 1922 as a work by Piazetta, Fiocco suggested the present attribution, which has been generally accepted. Bettagno detects an influence from Rembrandt and compares this sheet with one by him with the same motif from about 1640. Pignatti dates this sheet to Pellegrini´s time in Rome and Venice 1700-08, i.e. before the travelled abroad. [Bjurström, It. Drawings, cat. no. 196]
