DescriptionDescription: Greta Magnusson Grossman designed the Grasshopper, Model G-33 floor lamp in 1947. After training at Konstfack in Sweden, she ran the Studion shop and studio in Stockholm in the 1930s. In 1940, she emigrated to Los Angeles. She initially marketed her services in the US as Swedish Modern, but in her long career she became part of southern California’s modern architecture and design scene. Grasshopper illustrates her view that colour fulfils a key function.
