DescriptionDescription: Esaias Thorén’s portrait of the designer and artist Ingegerd Torhamn assumes the form of a chamber play between her face and a series of sculptural masks. It was painted at the end of the war, when Thorén was in Söndrum on the Halland coast, together with Sven X:et Erixson and the members of the Halmstad Group. Against the backdrop of the archipelago, a series of foreboding views was created of the closed border and Sweden’s occupied neighbours.
