DescriptionDescription: Copy after the Deluge. Laid down. Inscribed in pen and brown ink at lower left: Pontormo fecit a St Laurent a Florence. Numbered in pen and brown ink at lower right:114 (Sparre). An sixteenth-century copy after a section of Pontormo's fresco of the Deluge (destroyed in 1738), in the choir of the church of San Lorenzo at Florence. These three figures are also seen in another anonymous copy of a strip of the fresco (Louvre 1026). [Bjurström, It. Drawings, cat. no. 1160]
