DescriptionDescription: Study of a boy or putto. Laid down. Inscribed in pen and brown ink at lower left: Daniele da Volterra. Numbered in pen and brown ink at lower right: 131 (Sparre). A loose sheet with the biography of Daniele da Volterra in C.G Tessin's hand attached. Attributed to Franceschini by Nicolas Turner in 1980 (mat not). This could be for any one of a number of putti who frequently are scattered across clouds in Franceschini's large decorative paintings. [Bjurström, It. Drawings, cat. no. 1143]
