DescriptionDescription: Gothenburg-born Hilda Amalia has been portrayed here by her uncle, the artist and museum curator Gustaf Henrik Brusewitz. He was best known as a history and genre painter, but also made por- traits. Hilda Amalia sits in her Sunday best in a modern upholstered armchair. She is so small that her feet do not reach the floor. On the wall is a portrait of a woman, perhaps the girl’s mother, Sophie Louise, or paternal grandmother, Maria Charlotta.
