DescriptionDescription: Laid down. Numbered at lower right in pen and brown ink: 535. (Sparre). The fresco is part of the ceiling decoration of the ambulatory of S. Carlo al Corso, Rome and can be dated by a payment made on January 9, 1680. U. Fischer Pace points out that the male figure in the foreground is a variation of the theme of the reclining Hercules by Annibale Carracci in the Camerino Farnese. [Bjurström, It.
