DescriptionDescription: Inscribed and numbered at lower left: J 10 Parmegianino. Copy after an early drawing by Taddeo, probably copying a Polidoro frieze, in the British Museum. The attribution to Pompeo da Fano is suggested by Philip Pouncey, who has identified another two drawings by him: 1 Battle scene with five figures, inscribed by Federigo: schizzo de mane de pompeo di fano (no. 93 in an exhibition of Old Master Drawings in 1966 at Hal O´Nians, London). 2 Scene of two bound prisoners kneeling before a potentate. Edinburgh According to Gere Pompeo´s first teacher was Girolamo Genga and Pompeo in his turn Taddeo´s first teacher. [Bjurström, It. Drawings, cat. no. 516]
