DescriptionDescription: A French princess, the Princesse de Rohan, is singing a love song. While the music is fully legible, the words, for some reason, have been deliberately erased. In keeping with the spirit of the age, Carl Gustaf and Ulla Tessin created a gallery of female portraits. Wishing to include one of the Princesse de Rohan, they commissioned Gustaf Lundberg to make a copy of de La Tour’s portrait. In 2014 the Nationalmuseum was able to acquire the original, which was long believed lost.
