DescriptionDescription: Study for a frontispiece. Watermark: Bird in a ring. Numbered at lower right in pen and brown ink: 1351. (Sparre). Two genii hold the central portrait while Fama sounds a trumpet. At the foot of the postament are Justice with the scales (left) and Truth with the mirror (right). Two putti hold a coat of arms with a horse. This drawing, attributed to Pellegrini by Bettagno in conjunction with the Venice exhibition, is dated by Pignatti to the time around 1718 when the artist was at the Hague. At the same time, however. Pignatti expresses some doubts abut the attribution. [Bjurström, It. Drawings, cat. no. 1351]
