DescriptionDescription: The Judgment of Paris. Inscribed at lower right in pen and brown ink: Andre Vicentini. Numbered: 1283. (Sparre) and 11 (struck out). Sirén and Tietze are both doubtful about the authenticity of this drawing but the latter points to its close connections with a painting of the same motif in Museo di Padova (no. 241) and therefore supposes that it may be a copy after Vicentino in his workshop. The style is close to The flaying of Marsyas, Oxford, which Pignatti as well as Tietze connect with the painted version of that motif and accordingly date around 1600. [Bjurström, It.
