DescriptionDescription: The decoration on this service consists of a flower whose seed vessel covers the plate’s well, with petals climbing onto its lip. Sunnuntai is Finnish for Sunday. Birger Kaipiainen designed utility and art ceramics for both Arabia and Rörstrand, often with a figurative decoration that filled the entire space in the same way that Byzantine and Italian Renaissance art did.
