DescriptionDescription: The chair is included in the furniture series RE-cover: costume making dresses to old chairs. Fredrik Färg has given recycled chairs new upholstery of tailor made and moulded felt. The backrest of Fröken Lundgren is like a large softly pleated collar. The “garment” also has carefully made details, such as sewn pleats and buttons. The chair is a relatively early example of today’s increasingly less clear boundary between design and fashion. Description from Art Bulletin of Nationalmuseum, Stockholm, vol 16, 2009: The chair is a combination of furniture recycling and fashion design in which the previous chair has been reborn in a dress with a huge collar with elegant folds. It is an example of the blurring borders within the different fields of the design world. [slut]
