DescriptionDescription: “The butterfly that creates summer” said the advertisements for the garden furniture F45. The stackable chair has a yielding steel frame, so you can rock comfortably in it. The braided yellow plastic bands referred to pop culture, but were difficult to make. The chair was too expensive to manufacture to become a sales success. Rune Monö has also designed phones, plastic dishes and toasters, but also the logos for Ica, SAS and Linjeflyg. Description from Art Bulletin of Nationalmuseum, Stockholm, vol 16, 2009: The design expresses the optimism in the 1950s. However, the wrapping technique used for the plastic ribbons was labour-intensive and therefore production of the chair soon came to an end. This chair was donated directly by the family behind the company. [slut]
