DescriptionDescription: At the age of just 27, Erik Lindberg had been given the prestigious commission of designing the Nobel medal in gold, which is presented to every laureate and has come to symbolise the Nobel Prize. By then, the founder of the prize had been dead for five years. The famous bust by the same artist is likewise a posthumous portrait, based on photographs. This casting of it used to belong to Nobel Enterprises Ltd. and was placed in their offices in Glasgow.
