DescriptionDescription: Metal plate with text: H. LINDHOLM 50 ÅR 1875 17/3 1925 från FÖRENINGEN GÖTEBORGS KOLONITRÄDGÅRDAR (H. Lindholm 50th birthday 17 March 1875 - 1925 from Gothenburg’s allotment association). Herman Lindholm was a member of the allotment association, starting in 1905. He was also the chairperson for the municipality of Gothenburg and founder of the Liseberg amusement park. This is a good example of the strong tradition of giving anniversary gifts, from the nineteenth century and into the twentieth century, even in social circles where they are perhaps unexpected.
