DescriptionDescription: The artist’s own thoughts, for the exhibition Expressions in Glass 2019 I am looking at my work from 2008 that was created for the “Red Bear Green Goat” exhibition at Gustavsbergs Konsthall (Gustavsberg Art Gallery). For the exhibition, which had The seven deadly sins as its subtitle, I had blown tall, narrow and slightly oval vases in heavy crystal. I then wound silicone “trims” around them and tied them together with silk ribbon like a corset. It is now ten years since the vases were made and I can see that what interested me then still does. I still like to work with the combination of glass and silicone, but perhaps with slightly different themes. One of the gang but still an outsider.
