DescriptionDescription: Behind the naked branches stretching to the edges of the painting, a vast landscape of fields spreads below an icy blue spring sky. Spring Evening, like Spring in Halland from the 1890s, exemplifies what could be called Nils Kreuger’s fascination for the graphic qualities of spring. The lines of the ploughed furrows and the sharp silhouettes of the branches starkly accentuate the billowing landscape and correspond to the idea of stylised, decorative design.
