DescriptionDescription: Sigurd Persson was trained as a goldsmith in Sweden and Germany. In addition to his work with gold and silver, some of his designs have also involved objects of steel, cast iron and plastic. Between 1967 and 1974 he was a glass designer at Kosta glassworks. During this period, he collaborated with Lisa Bauer. Lisa Bauer was a Swedish artist and illustrator who specialised on gardens and architecture. Between 1969 and 1992 she was employed by Kosta glassworks, where initially she collaborated with Sigurd Persson. Her plant and flower motifs enhanced Sigurd Persson’s designs. She always drew from life, like these bellflowers.
