DescriptionDescription: The faience painter Marianne Preissler painted freely after Stig Lindberg’s patterns. A light touch was required for work in the painting room. The G-Studio’s faiences are marked on the underside with the Studio’s characteristic hand symbol for hand-painted items. The objects also include the designer’s signature or the painter’s mark. Preissler’s symbol can be mistaken for a mushroom but is in fact a champagne cork. Originally from Hungary, she went on to pursue a wide-ranging career at the company, including in the advertising department, of which she later became the manager.
