DescriptionDescription: Georg Oddner’s fashion photography played a significant part in Anita Ekberg’s early career. She first worked as a model in 1949, when she won the Miss Hipp contest in her native Malmö. Oddner moved to the city two years later and saw her potential. The two kept in touch even after her debut as a Hollywood film star in 1953. Oddner took this portrait at the Hotel Kramer in Malmö in 1955, on one of Ekberg’s return visits. Its focus is on the sophisticated, cigarette-smoking woman of the world.
