Carl Gustaf Tessin’s artist Olof Fridsberg has immortalised a huge pumpkin, which, according to the illusionistically painted paper notice on the wall, bears the inscription “Grown in Åkerö garden in 1757 and weighed 115 skålpund” (about 49 kg). Tessin was probably proud to display this enormous pumpkin, which had grown in a hotbed in his newly created garden at Åkerö in Södermanland Province.
