This was the first piece of furniture by architect and furniture designer Ron Arad. He assembled it from two existing pieces, known as ready-mades, that he found in a pile of scrap at Chalk Farm in London. It consists of a leather seat from a Rover P6, which is attached to a painted steel pipe frame, originally intended for a stable. The frame serves as both foot and armrests. The chair was produced by the company One Off between 1981 and 1989.
