BeskrivningBeskrivning: Vittore Carpaccio var hela sitt liv verksam i Venedig och betydelsefull för utvecklingen av historiemåleriet där. Han utgick ofta från studieblad av den här typen då han arbetade med sina kompositioner. Många av figurerna finns i olika målningar av Carpaccio, bland annat mannen längst ner till höger. Det är en Kristusgestalt som lyfter handen i en välsignande gest. Den utgör en detalj i målningen Den helige Augustinus vision i Venedig. Beskrivning: Vittore Carpaccio was active in Venice throughout his life and was important for the development of history painting. He often used studies of this type when he worked with his compositions. Many of the figures are found in various paintings by Carpaccio, including the man at the bottom right. It is a figure of Christ, raising his hand in a blessing. It is a detail in the painting Vision of Saint Augustine in Venice.
